Severus had been missing for well over two months and Minerva was at her wits end. Sebastian had yet to come home, David was still iffy about trusting her, but at least he had not left, and Sophia…well, she was as well as could be expected. 

It was time to take action other than sitting around and writing back and forth to someone who could do nothing short of advising. Waking early, the distressed witch was off to the Ministry of Magic in Croatia to place a missing persons report and then to Gringotts to collect Severus’ will and the papers to their home. 

Of course she had written a note for Sophia and Sebastian so they wouldn’t be worried. She returned home it was fairly early in the evening and she was down on the sofa of the sitting room in a heart beat, not even bothering to let her children she had returned.
